GPS-12 Инструкция пользователя

Назначение

Cпутниковый
приемник GPS-12 всемирной навигационной системы (GPS) выполняет следующие
функции:

·       
определение координат местоположения на местности в любой точке
земного шара;

·       
отслеживание и запоминание трассы (пути) вашего движения;

·       
навигация (ориентирование), т.е. указание и отслеживание курса
(направления) движения к одной из ранее запомненных точек (ориентиров) или по
ранее запомненному маршруту.

Работа
прибора основана на обработке сигналов, поступающих от спутников, находящихся
на постоянных геостационарных орбитах. Всего таких спутников вокруг земного
шара 31, а в каждой местности можно “видеть” примерно 8 – 12 спутников на
разной высоте над горизонтом. Чем больше спутников “видит” GPS-12, и чем
равномернее они расположены по небесной сфере, тем точнее можно определить
местоположение.

Электропитание

Электропитание
GPS-12 может осуществляться как от сменных внутренних батарей (тип АА, алкалиновые
или литиевые источники тока, а также аккумуляторные батареи), так и от внешнего
источника постоянного тока напряжением 5 – 8 В (например, от бортовой сети
автомобиля через специальный преобразователь напряжения DC-12V / DC-7V).

При
внешнем питании в батарейный отсек GPS-12 все равно должны быть вставлены
работоспособные батарейки – без этого прибор нельзя включить. При обнаружении
внешнего источника тока прибор автоматически отключает питание от батарей, об
этом свидетельствует исчезновение индикатора заряда батарей на странице
“Спутники”, слева.

При
использовании аккумуляторных батарей следует помнить, что номинальное
напряжение каждой батареи составляет 1.25 В, а не 1.5 В, как у обычных. Это
приводит к несколько заниженным показаниям индикатора заряда батарей, что,
однако, не сказывается на работе прибора.

Органы управления и порядок работы

Для
общения с пользователем GPS-12 имеет 7 многофункциональных кнопок и растровый
(точечный) дисплей на жидких кристаллах. Назначение кнопок :

“Лампочка”

Нажатие в выключенном состоянии — ВКЛ

Нажатие в процессе работы — подсветка (3 уровня)

Начатие в течении 2-3 сек — ВЫКЛ

PAGE
— переход к следующей странице

QUIT

— маркировка и занесение в список ориентиров точки
текущего местоположения или точки, указываемой курсором на карте (см. далее
“Карта”)

GOTO
— прокладка курса (направления) на выбранный ориентир

Работа
GPS-12 организована в виде 5 циклически переключаемых страниц, каждая из
которых имеет свое специальное отображение на дисплее и служит для выполнения
одной из ранее перечисленных функций.

Сразу
после включения появится 1-я страница(“Спутники”) и начнется
опрос спутников. В этот момент нажатием “стрелки” можно настроить контраст
(ENTER — подтверждение). Надписи и обозначения на экране:

·       
Шкала слева — индикатор заряда батарей. Следует учитывать, что обычные
батарейки и аккумуляторы имеют в норме различные показания.

·       
Рисунок в центре — схематическое указание положения спутников в данном
районе

·       
Стрелка вверх с буквой N — направление на север

·       
Большая окружность — линия горизонта

·       
Маленькая окружность — линия 45 град от горизонта

·       
Точка в центре — зенит

·       
Двузначные номера на схеме — положение спутников. Если номер имеет темный фон
— сигнал от данного спутника не поступает (экранирован рельефом или местными
предметами).

·       
Вертикальные столбики с номерами под ними внизу экрана — индикатор силы сигнала от
каждого спутника.

·       
2D NAV — обнаружено min 3 спутника, определяются 2-мерные координаты
(широта, долгота)

·       
3D NAV — обнаружено min 4 cпутника, определяются 3-мерные координаты
(широта, долгота, высота над уровнем моря)

·       
EPE (значение) mt — расчетная точность по горизонтали

После
завершения опроса спутников появится 2-я страница (“Положение”)
с индикацией текущего положения. Надписи и обозначения на экране:

·       
Горизонтальная шкала вверху — компас с указанием направления движения

·       
TRACK
— направление движения

·       
SPEED
— скорость движения

·       
TRIP
— пройденный путь (Reset — сброс на “0”)

·       
ALT
— высота над уровнем моря

·       
POSITION — координаты места нахождения (широта, долгота)

·       
TIME
— текущее время

Вместо TRIP и ALT
можно по желанию установить следующие дополнительные параметры :

·       
TTIME
— общее время в пути

·       
ELPSD
— секундомер (Reset — сброс на “0”)

·       
AVSPD
— средняя скорость

·       
MXSPD
— максимальная скорость

Установка дополнительных
параметров : подогнать указатель к нужному полю, нажать ENTER и с помощью “стрелок” вверх или вниз
выбрать нужный параметр, ENTER —
подтверждение.

Сброс показаний (Reset) для TRIP и ELPSD
: подогнать указатель к нужному полю, затем ENTER.

Текущее местоположение можно
отмаркировать и запомнить в виде ориентира (Waypoint) для дальнейшего
использования. Для этого надо нажать MARK
и задать название (6 символов) для запоминания в список ориентиров. Всего
GPS-12 может запомнить до 500 ориентиров.

Учитывая возможность
неточного определения мгновенных координат, рекомендуется провести усреднение
значений путем более длительного опроса спутников. Для этого надо выбрать AVERAGE и дождаться стабилизации показаний,
после чего дать подтверждение.

Если маркируемый ориентир
лежит на маршруте, который требуется запомнить, надо выбрать ADD TO ROUTE (номер маршрута). Всего GPS-12
может запомнить до 20 маршрутов с максимум 30 промежуточных ориентиров в
каждом.

Следующая, 3-я
страница — страница карты (“Карта”). Надписи и обозначения на экране:

Вверху — индикация режимов,
которые выбираются стрелками (ENTER — подтверждение) :

·       
ZM (км / экран) — масштаб увеличения

·       
CFG
— настройка (конфигурация) параметров карты и отображаемой трассы

·       
PAN
— передвижение (панорамирование) по карте.

·       
Крест в центре — курсор (прицел). При установке его на ранее
запомненный ориентир тот высвечивается и нажатием ENTER можно посмотреть его
параметры. Любую точку, указанную с помощью креста, можно промаркировать (MARK)
и запомнить в списке ориентиров.

·       
Ромбик указывает последнее зафиксированное местоположение.

·       
В левом углу — азимут на точку, указываемую крестиком, в правом —
расстояние до нее из последнего зафиксированного местоположения.

Если
в режиме CFG установлено отображение ближайших ориентиров (NEAREST WPTS), то
на карте будут показаны названия и символьное обозначение 9-ти ориентиров,
ближайших к текущему местоположению. Если необходимо посмотреть удаленные
ориентиры, не вошедшие в перечень 9-ти ближайших, то это можно сделать,
установив другое текущее местоположение в режиме SYSTEM / SIMULATION (
см. 5-ю страницу — МЕНЮ)

Если
GPS-12 держать включенным во время движения, то на карте будет отображается
трасса движения. Она запоминается в виде последовательных точек общим числом до
1024, расположенных в местах резкого изменения курса (AUTO) или через
заданный интервал времени . Это задается в режиме CFG. Если GPS-12
выключался и снова включался во время движения ( или имело место пропадание
сигнала от спутников), то этот участок трассы будет отображаться в виде
пропусков. В режиме TRACKBACK
(см.далее) такой пропуск будет заменен отрезком
прямой линии. Если пропадание сигнала было кратковременным, то GPS-12
автоматически интерполирует этот отрезок и показывает трассу без разрыва.

Метод
запоминания трассы устанавливается в режиме CFG:

·       
OFF
— без запоминания трассы

·       
FILL
— трасса запоминается до тех пор, пока не будет заполнена вся отведенная для
этого память

·       
WRAP
— при заполнении всей памяти новые точки будут запоминаться на месте наиболее
старых

·       
Method: AUTO — запоминание трассы в автоматическом режиме

·       
CLEAR LOG — стирание ранее запомненной трассы — всегда нужно делать перед
началом нового пути, для которого предполагается пользоваться режимом TRACKBACK (см.далее).

Следующая 4-я
страница (“Компас”) — с указателем компаса / индикатора курса.

Используется в следующих режимах
навигации (ориентирования):

— задание и отслеживание направление на выбранный ориентир

MOB
— “человек за бортом” — маркировка и отслеживание направления на пройденную
точку

Track Back — движение по трассе в обратном направлении

Переключение
режимов “компас / индикатор курса” осуществляется двукратным нажатием ENTER. При этом,
если отклонение от нужного направления движения слишком велико, то в режиме
“индикатор курса” появляется соответствующее сообщение.

Навигация
(ориентирование) :

GO
TO : нажать GO TO и выбрать нужный
ориентир из списка. После этого появится страница “Компас” с указанием
направления и расстояния до выбранного ориентира. Во время движения эти
параметры постоянно отслеживаются. Для выключения — нажать GO TO и выбрать
CANCEL GOTO (ENTER — подтверждение)

MOB
: нажать 2 раза GOTO. После этого появится страница
“Компас” с указанием направления и расстояния до отмаркированой пройденной
точки. Во время движения эти параметры постоянно отслеживаются. Для выключения
— нажать GO TO и выбрать CANCEL GOTO (ENTER — подтверждение)

TRACK BACK : нажать GOTO, выбрать TRACKBACK. При этом
автоматически создается максимально приближенный к пройденной трассе маршрут,
состоящий из отрезков прямых линий, соединяющих временные ориентиры (T). Затем
появится страница компаса с указанием направления и расстояния до ближайшего
временного ориентира (Т). При приближении к очередному временному ориентиру
параметры , показываемые компасом, автоматически поменяются на следующий
ориентир и т.д. до достижения цели.

ROUTE
: — выбрать нужный маршрут из списка и активизировать
его (ACT). Появится страница компаса с указанием направления и расстояния до
ближайшего ориентира, входящего в данный маршрут. При приближении к очередному
промежуточному ориентиру параметры , показываемые компасом, автоматически
поменяются на следующий ориентир и т.д. до достижения цели. Для движения по
выбранному маршруту в обратном направлении выбрать INV. Для движения к
какому-либо промежуточному ориентиру, минуя предыдущие, выбрать его из описания
маршрута и нажать GOTO.

Следующая
5-я страница — MENU (“Меню”) служит для работы с ориентирами,
маршрутами, а также для настройки системных параметров. Надписи на экране :

·       
WAYPOINT (ориентир) — ввод и изменение параметров
ориентира

·       
WAYPOINT LIST (список ориентиров) — работа
со списком ориентиров

·       
NEAREST WPTS (ближайшие ориентиры) — вывод
списка ориентиров, ближайших к текущему местоположению

·       
PROXIMITY WPTS (ориентиры с сигнализацией) — список
ориентиров, о приближении на заданное расстояние к которым GPS-12 предупреждает
пользователя специальным сообщением

·       
ROUTES (маршруты) — работа с маршрутами

·       
DIST AND SUN (расстояние и солнце) — направление
и расстояние между 2-мя ориентирами с указанием времени восхода и захода солнца

·       
MESSAGES — страница вывода системных сообщений

·       
SYSTEM — настройка системных параметров

·       
NAVIGATION — настройка навигационных параметров

·       
INTERFACE — настройка параметров обмена информацией

В режиме INTERFACE можно выбрать один из 5 режимов обмена
(здесь и далее через косую черту указываются форматы ВХ / ВЫХ) :

·       
при установке режима GARMIN / GARMIN
осуществляется связь двух продуктов этой фирмы
(GPS/GPS или GPS/ Software for IBM). При этом данные(список ориентиров,
маршруты, запомненная траса, альманах) передаются в одну или другую сторону в
специальном двоичном формате, разработанном GARMIN’ом. Для хранения в IBM-PC в
виде файлов, эти данные записываются в ASCII-файлы специального формата (см.
Описание программы для IBM-PC).

·       
При установке режима NONE / NMEA в
реальном времени осуществляется передача данных о текущем местоположении (если
оно определено и отслеживается !), скорости и т.п. для использования различными
внешними устройствами. При этом данные передаются в одну сторону – от GPS – по
последовательной линии в виде стандартизованных двоичных кодов и могут
обрабатываться другим подсоединенным устройством.

·       
В режиме
NMEA / NMEA обмен осуществляется как описано выше, только в обе стороны.

·       
Режимы
RTCM / NMEA и RTCM / NONE служат
для подсоединения к бую системы DGPS (Differencial GPS). При этом через GPS-12
можно настраивать приемник буя на радио-частоту, по которой в этой местности
передаются данные о коррекции местоположения. Это позволяет улучшить точность
определения местоположения до 15 м.

В
режиме NAVIGATION устанавливаются единицы измерения расстояний (мили, км),
формат задания координат и другие вспомогательные величины. Наиболее важной из
них является магнитное склонение (девиация), т.е. отклонение направления
магнитной стрелки от истинного меридиана. Для каждой местности эта величина
различна и, кроме того, меняется со временем из-за дрейфа магнитного полюса.
Для Московской и других ближайших областей можно принять магнитное склонение
восточное, 7 градусов.

Опытные водители знают, какими достоинства обладают современные навигационные комплексы для автомобилей. У таких приборов целый «арсенал» возможностей и функций, позволяющих прокладывать нужные маршруты, быть на связи и обмениваться сообщениями. Самые же первые приемники, появившиеся на рынке 20 и более лет назад, справлялись хорошо лишь с одной задачей – находили путь в указанном направлении. Один из таких приборов – Garmin GPS 12.

Общая характеристика навигатора Garmin GPS 12

Несмотря на свой внушительный «возраст», заявленное устройство продолжает пользоваться большой популярностью среди водителей и туристов. Причина – «военное» происхождение навигатора. Он состоит из цельного водонепроницаемого корпуса, потому не боится падения, приземления в воду, механические повреждения.

Благодаря небольшому размеру модели и удобной клавиатуре GPS 12 эксплуатируется на ходу. Встроенной памяти хватает на запись более 1000 различных траекторий и обозначение 10 опасных точек.

Факт. Устройство снабжено функцией TracBack, позволяющей быстро найти дорогу домой.

Внешний вид и комплектация

Вся 12 серия навигаторов Garmin имеет черный запаянный корпус, без видимых эргономичных излишеств. Встроенных картографических данных нет. Дизайн неприхотливый, зато практичный. В свое время новинка произвела настоящей фурор на технорынке: о приборе писали статьи, показывали в художественных фильмах, повсеместно была его реклама.

Основная деталь прибора – монохромный дисплей. Он предоставляет возможность настройки пользовательского меню – неудобного, но простого в понимании.

Крепление

Электропитание

Прибор работает от 4 батареек формата АА. Время эксплуатации от такого «снабжения» оставляет желать лучшего. Если долго не включать навигатор, его настройки могут «слететь», как и все внесенные ранее точки. Без постоянного использования перестает улавливать сигнала спутника. Для устранения неисправности приходится закачивать необходимую информацию из другого прибора.

Работа устройства всецело зависит от спутников, расположенных на геостационарных орбитах. В каждой местности приемник улавливает сигнал от 12 таких элементов, находящихся над горизонтом.

Управление навигатором «Гармин» осуществляется многофункциональными кнопками и растровому дисплею. Всего клавиш 7:

• Лампочка – включение, выключение, подсветка;
• QUIT – вернуться на предыдущую страницу;
• PAGE – перейти к следующей;
• ENTER – подтвердить выбор;
• GOTO – проложить курс;
• MARK – внесение точки расположения в список ориентиров.

Если изучить руководство по использованию устройства, можно понять, что его работа основывается на взаимодействии 5 страниц. Каждая их них по-разному отображается на экране и необходима для реализации задач ранее перечисленных кнопок.

Режимы

Благодаря русификации инструкции можно узнать, что 12 модель имеет несколько режимов, направленных на выполнение разных задач:

1. NAVIGATION – используется для задания координат, установки единиц измерения.
2. CFG – нужен для настройки отображения карты и трассы.
3. TRACKBACK – используется для возврата в начало пути.
4. INTERFACE – предназначен для смены выводимой на экран картинки.

Преимущества и недостатки

Несмотря на высокое качество приемника, не нужно упускать из виду его явные минусы. Преимущества GPS 12:

• удобство в использовании;
• понятный, минимальный функционал;
• прочность конструкции.

Недостатки:

• использование 4 батареек АА – хватает на 1 день работы;
• большой вес;
• отсутствие крепления.

Сравнение с моделью Garmin GPS 12 XL

У приемника GPS 12 было несколько соплатформенных моделей, к примеру, 12 XL. Техническое оснащение у обоих приборов идентичное. Главные отличия: новая модификация XL снабжена разъемом для подключения антенны (внешней), встроенной базой городов и звуком. Конечно же, последняя версия стоит на порядок дороже.

Отзывы пользователей

Сложно понять, настолько хорош навигатор 90-х годов в нынешнее время, когда функционал схожих приспособлений намного больше. Особенно с учетом того, что есть более современные версии с цветным дисплеем и возможностью использования внешнего источника питания, например, GPS навигатор Garmin 62s.

Отзывы владельцев GPS 12 помогут сформировать об устройстве окончательное мнение:

1. Несмотря на 20-летний «стаж» работы, продолжает выполнять базовые функции.
2. На фоне современных аналогов слишком громоздкий и «прожорливый». Верно измеряет координаты, использует функцию усреднения данных.
3. Это подходящий навигатор, чтобы выбраться в лес или отправиться на рыбалку в незнакомую местность. Можно не бояться уронить в воду или как-то повредить.

Где можно приобрести

К сожалению, производство приемника сери GPS 12 давно прекращено, потому купить его в магазинах проблематично. Чаще устройство перепродают бывшие владельцы, или же дилеры компании-производителя реализовывают дополненные модификации. Сегодня приобрести GPS навигатор Garmin можно в интернет-магазине ТЕХНОСАТ или на ebay. Цена модели – 40–45 долларов.
